Heyo! I am Karen Alarcon , a digital product designer from Queens, NY currently working at TransPerfect. I work on various B2B and B2C products in the corporate media and legal while contributing to our ever-growing design system.

With a focus on UX design and a passion for creating prototypes, I am always ready to dive into information architecture and UX research.

When the right project presents itself I work as a Freelance illustrator. In the past, I have worked as a life insurance agent and operations manager. These experiences have influenced my approach to UX design, allowing me to consider both customer and business needs. When I'm not designing, I enjoy traveling to collect souvenir pennies and teaching myself new skills such as 3D printing and playing the keyboard piano.

Real people said this (I swear)

"My dearest Karen, I wish I had unlimited funds so that I could hire you full time...I hate giving a great review because I want to keep you as my little secret. Your work is top-notch and in the words of Mariah Carey, 'I can't live, if living is without you.' "

"Karen was amazing to work with, responsive, and collaborative really taking the time to understand the brand and offer creative suggestions."
